Our Revere Lady Minutemen continued their impressive march toward the postseason on Thursday, posting a second-place finish at the Medina Invitational at Fox Meadow Country Club with a team score of 308—the second-lowest 18-hole score in program history.
While the 308 will certainly stand out in the record book, perhaps the most important takeaway from today’s performance is how the Lady Minutemen got there.
Strength in numbers.
Every Lady Minutemen is capable of contributing every time they tee it up, and today was another perfect example.
Leading the way was Amrita Deo, who delivered the best round of her Lady Minutemen career. Amrita fired a 1-under 71, highlighted by four birdies, to finish fifth individually among a field loaded with some of the area’s best golfers. A career-low round on a big stage. Exactly what this team needed.
Ryenne Harpley continued to be the steady and consistent force this team has relied on all season, posting an impressive 76 (38/38) with three birdies. Her 76 earned her a ninth-place individual finish and, once again, gave Revere a counting score when it mattered most.
Sarah Riley continued to show just how much her game has developed throughout the season. Sarah put three circles on her scorecard en route to a 7-over 79, providing another important counting score for the Lady Minutemen.
Then came Maddy Addessi. With a birdie on her final hole, Maddy posted an 82 to round out Revere’s four counting scores and finished 22nd individually. Maddy has been putting together increasingly strong stretches of golf lately, and it feels like she is getting closer and closer to playing her best golf of the season.
And then there was Kate Banning, who quietly provided another example of why this team is so dangerous. Kate posted an 83, good for a Top-25 finish, but her round was about much more than the final number. After a slow start, Kate settled in and played her final 16 holes in just 6-over par.
It’s not how you start. It’s how you finish. And that’s the beauty of this team.

Five scores that are all capable of helping this team win. Had Revere tied Walsh Jesuit at 309, Kate’s 83 would have given the Lady Minutemen the tiebreaker.
That’s strength in numbers. It’s knowing that the fifth score matters. It’s knowing that someone can have a slow start and still put together a strong finish. It’s knowing that when one player isn’t having her best day, another player can step up. And today, all five contributed.
The Lady Minutemen may have come up just short of an incredibly talented Magnificat team, but today’s performance was another huge statement. Revere held off both Walsh Jesuit and Brunswick, two extremely talented teams that the Lady Minutemen will most certainly have their sights set on—and could very well see again—when postseason play arrives.
Before today’s round, the message was clear: This is the beginning of the home stretch. Now is the time to build. Build positive swing thoughts. Build positive habits. Build positive momentum. And today’s 308 was a tremendous step in that direction. The Lady Minutemen aren’t searching for one golfer to carry them. They’re building a team where everyone can make a difference. That’s been our biggest asset all season. That’s what makes this group special. And with the postseason getting closer, there’s no better time to be playing our best golf.
